In the US, there are currently over 400,000 children in foster care. These children range in age from infants to young adults, with the average age being over 8 years old.
Children and teens enter foster care through no fault of their own because they have been abused, neglected, or abandoned and are unable to continue living safely with their families. Children have been neglected and often feel like they don’t matter. Some do not own a toothbrush and have never worn a new pair of pajamas.
Our mission: To restore a sense of worth, security, and hope to foster children during difficult transitions.
We believe in a compassionate community that cares for the most vulnerable among us, and we can all do something to bring comfort to children in foster care. Please join us as we work to eliminate trash bags from the system and show children in foster care that they matter.
